Why Should I Play?
For some people the thought of playing in a daily fantasy league isn’t as exciting as it is to others. This is understandable, we respect the whole “Whatever floats your boat” thing and all, but in all honesty their are a million reasons why you should play daily fantasy sports and we want to share some of those with you today. Be advised that while we aren’t going to cover everything, we feel as if the following three big ideas should be enough to at least spark an interest, the rest will be up to you.
Be advised however that if you need clarification on something or have a question, comment or concern please do not hesitate to reach out to us via Twitter, Facebook or by using the contact us page. Now that we’ve covered that lets get right to it.
Reason #1 – Makes the Games More Entertaining
The die hard seasonal players might say that the games are already exciting with their teams players in action that day, but I can assure you that NOTHING is as exciting as cheering for players who are going to win or lose you money THAT DAY. Ask anyone who’s played daily fantasy sports for longer than just a little while and he/she will tell you that the most exciting part of football season (or any season for that matter) is waking up with a new set of players to cheer for every Sunday that can win or lose them hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
Whats more is that you’ll become a more knowledgeable person in regards to the sport that you’re playing because in your research you’ll come across, players, teams and coaches that you’ve never heard of before. This sort of research enhances the game for you and in the end it will make you a much better fan than you were before.
Reason #2 – Win Money Everyday
I might sound like a broken record (and come to think of it I kind of feel like one) but be advised that the ability to win money on a daily basis with only your fantasy sports skills to rely on is not only exhilarating but its also a lot of fun. At the time of this writing we’re seeing tournaments with entry fees ranging from $2 up through $200 and prize pools that can range from a few hundred to more than a few thousand. Whats more is that sites like FanDuel are offering never seen before promotions. Take their FFFC which is a fantasy football championship they hold every year in Las Vegas for a set of qualifiers that win entry by playing tournaments throughout the season. In 2011 the winner of the FFFC walked away with a cool $100,000 and that number is sure to rise in 2012.
Their are a plethora of other promotions, things like the DFBC, the $1 Million Perfect Lineup challenge, the Super Joust and much much more. Its all a testament to a young vibrant industry that is going out of its way to reward the early adopters unlike any other market in the history of gaming.
Reason #3 – Its Fun!
I’ll admit, reason #3 is a little weak but at the end of the day what is the fun in writing fluff? I don’t want carpal tunnel and you don’t want your time wasted, so ill just give it to you straight. Whether you’ve played a season long league before or not, you will have a TON of fun playing daily fantasy sports, that in all likelihood once you start you won’t stop and before you know it you’ll have all of your friends playing alongside you.
We’ve talked about what daily fantasy sports are as well as why you should play them so now what?
